Learn how to make a refreshing and anti-inflammatory Iced Bulletproof Turmeric Latte. It’s a delicious summer drink that’s Whole30 and keto-friendly!

Iced Bulletproof Turmeric Latte

I’m totally an iced latte girl whether it comes to coffee, matcha, or even golden milk! There’s something so delicious and indulgent when a creamy drink is served on ice, it’s almost like milkshake but so much healthier.

Iced Bulletproof Turmeric Latte Recipe

Every time I’m avoiding caffeine when I’m especially stressed out, bulletproof turmeric latte is one my go-to’s in the morning. It’s super tasty, has amazing ani-inflammatory components, and keeps my blood sugar leveled.

What makes bulletproof turmeric latte different from regular latte? It contains healthy fats like butter (or ghee, in my case) and MCT oil. They provide fuel for the brain so you stay extra alert, increase fat burning activities in the body, and gives you a steady dose of energy in the mornings. Not to mention, the latte gets extra creamy and foamy making it super tasty!

What is MCT oil?

MCT stands for medium chain triglycerides, and they are special fatty acids that provide fuel for the body and brain. What’s different about MCT oil than other fatty acids is that they are quickly processed in the liver instead of bypassing the digestive system, making them easily absorbable and great for mental energy and clarity.

Also, if you are on the ketogenic diet, MCTs can be broken down into ketones, which the body can use as energy for fuel rather than glucose. Ketones promote fat-burning activities in the body as well as reduce inflammation. I also personally love it because it contains caprylic acid which have been great for healing my gut and candida issues. Here’s a full list of all the benefits:

  • Improves cognitive function and reduces brain fog
  • Has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties to fight digestive issues like candida and SIBO
  • Promotes fat burning activities in the body
  • Supports nutrient absorbtion
  • Provides energy for brain and muscles
  • Decreases inflammation

It’s difficult to get a high dose of MCT in our diet (coconut oil is about 62% MCT oils, but about 50% of that is lauric acid, which isn’t considered true MCT) so supplementing with MCT oil is a great way to get in your daily intake, and it’s so easy to do with a delicious drink like this Iced Bulletproof Turmeric Latte!

Choosing Quality MCT Oil

While there are many MCT oil products out there on the market, they are not all made the same. Some of them are not 100% pure, are sourced from unsustainable palm oil or soy-based hexane, or contain genetically modified ingredients.

One of the cleanest and purest MCT oil I’ve found is Perfect Supplement’s Perfect MCT Oil, which is organic and made from non-GMO coconuts. It contains 100% C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capris acid) and have been batch tested to ensure that it contains nothing but coconuts.

I love that it really doesn’t taste like anything at all and I can put it in all my morning drinks, whether it’s coffee, matcha, or this delicious Iced Bulletproof Turmeric Latte.

I love golden milk but I always make a huge mess when I make it. this I could make a bunch of and keep in the fridge for no-mess enjoyment.
