Air Fryer Avocado Fries

Crispy and delicious keto avocado fries in air fryer or the oven! So crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside, they make a perfect snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe avocados that are still firm or 3 small
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or lime juice
  • 1/3 cup coconut flour
  • 2 eggs whisked
  • cup pork panko crushed up pork rinds - if you want to add cheese, replace 1/2 cup with grated parmesan
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Cut avocados into long wedges: Slice the avocado in half, then remove the pit. Use your hands to remove the skin. Slice each half lengthwise into ¼-½ inch thick slices.
  • Place the avocado slices on a plate and sprinkle the avocados with lemon juice. This keeps the avocados from turning bitter after cooking.
  • In a bowl, add coconut flour. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. In the last bowl, stir together pork panko, garlic powder, paprika, and sea salt.
  • Dredge an avocado slice in coconut flour, shake off excess, then dip in the egg wash. Finally, dredge in the pork rinds mixture so all sides are covered. Transfer to a plate then repeat with the rest of the avocado slices.

Air Fryer Method

  • Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F.
  • Arrange the avocado slices in a single layer on the air fryer tray.
  • Optional: Spray with cooking oil for an extra crispy texture.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes until browned and crispy.
  • Enjoy dipped in your favorite sauce like fry sauce, mayo, ranch, etc.

Oven Method

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place avocado slices on the parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Optional: Spray with cooking oil for an extra crispy texture.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until browned and crispy, flipping them halfway through.
  • Enjoy dipped in your favorite sauce like fry sauce, mayo, ranch, etc.
