Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Split the dates and remove the pit.
12 Natural Delights® Whole Medjool Dates
  • Stuff a slice of brie into each date then gently push a few chopped walnut pieces into the cheese.
4 oz brie cheese, 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Cook in the air fryer in a single layer 3-4 minutes until the cheese is softened and gooey.
  • Remove from the air fryer and lightly drizzle with honey.
    Honey
  • Sprinkle with flakey sea salt, chopped sage, and red pepper flakes, if using. Serve immediately.
Flakey sea salt, Chopped sage, OPTIONAL: crushed red pepper flakes

Notes

  • When removing the pit, you can split the Medjool date lengthwise with a sharp knife, but I find that it's easy to do with your hands.
  • If you don't have an air fryer, try baking these in the oven! You can cook on a baking sheet at 375 degrees F for 7-8 minutes. Of course, they'll still be delicious if you decide not to bake them.
  • These brie stuffed dates can customized to your liking:
    • Brie is delicious in this recipe, but any other creamy cheese will work! I've made it with cream cheese and goat cheese, and they are both wonderful.
    • Walnuts are my favorite nuts to use when making these, but any other nuts will work. Try pecans, pistachios, or even peanuts!
    • Herbs and spices give an extra flavor to this dish, but they are totally and can be modified to your taste. I love sage, but other wintry herbs like thyme, rosemary, and even parsley will work well.
Store the leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container. You can enjoy cold or warm it up back in the air fryer for a few minutes!
