Combine ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl, and set aside.

Trim the ends of the Chinese broccoli then thinly slice the stems. Cut the leafy parts into 2 inch pieces.If using regular broccoli florets, cut them into smaller pieces that are even in size. 4 oz Chinese broccoli
Heat avocado oil in a large wok over high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes perside until cooked through and opaque. Remove and set aside.

Turn the heat down to medium, add more oil if needed, then add garlic and chilies to the wok. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to inhale the fumes.

Add onion, Chinese broccoli, and the white parts of the green onions, and cook for about 2 minutes.

Add rice, cooked shrimp, the green parts of the green onions, and sauce, and stir cooking until the rice has absorbed the sauce evenly.

Remove from heat and stir in Thai basil. Enjoy immediately.
