Easy Christmas Crack with Pretzels
If you love salty-sweet holiday treats, this Christmas crack with pretzels is going to be the one you make on repeat. The pretzels give every bite a crunchy snap, and the chocolate and peanut butter swirl takes it to another level. I have made so many versions over the years, and once I added peanut butter, it finally tasted balanced the way I always wanted.

- 10 oz mini pretzels I used gluten free
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
- Sprinkles and flakey sea salt for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and line an 18x13 baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread out pretzels on the baking sheet. It's okay if they overlap.
10 oz mini pretzels
Melt butter and brown sugar in a medium sized saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and continue whisking until the mixture begins to thicken, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour the mixture over the pretzels evenly. Toss gently to coat the pretzels, then spread out in an even layer. Bake for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over pretzels then bake for 5 minutes.

While the chocolate is baking, melt the peanut butter in the microwave in 20 second increments until thinner in consistency (you can also do this over low heat on the stovetop).
1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
Remove the pan from the oven then spread the melted chocolate evenly. Drizzle peanut butter on top then use a back of a spoon to swirl the peanut butter. Add sprinkles and flakey sea salt, if using.

Freeze for at least 1 hour, then break into pieces. Enjoy!
