Fresh Guacamole with Tajin Dates

Delicious, easy, and fresh guacamole made with flavorful Tajin Medijool dates. This comes together so quickly and the flavors are just so amazing and wonderful. Serve with your favorite chips and veggies!

Ingredients

  • 3 avocados ripe
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup Natural Delights® Medjool Date Strips with Tajin chopped, plus more for topping (or sub with chopped dates and 1 tsp Tajin)

Instructions

  • Peel and seed the avocados, and scoop out the flesh into a large bowl.
  • Pour lime juice over the avocados, and mash together with a fork or potato masher.
  • Add onion, cilantro, garlic, cumin, salt, and chopped Medjool Date Strips with Tajin. Mix to combine.
  • You can enjoy right or let it sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes before serving so the flavors can meld together.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or veggies, topped with more chopped Medjool Date Strips with Tajin.

Expert Tips
  • If you are making a double or a triple batch for a large group, I recommend using a potato masher to mash the avocados. Works like a charm and makes it so much easier!
  • If you can’t find Natural Delights® Medjool Date Strips with Tajin, you can just use regular Medjool dates chopped up and add 1 tsp of Tajin seasoning to achieve a similar flavor profile.
Storage Tips
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • To keep the guacamole from browning, cover the top layer with a plastic wrap OR cover with 1/2 inch of water. When ready to enjoy again, just pour out the water, stir, and dig in!
