Paleo Chocolate Almond Butter Collagen Fat Bombs (Keto, Whole30)

Whether you are keto or on a low-carb diet, these Chocolate Almond Butter Collagen Fat Bombs make a great craving-killing snack or dessert!

Paleo Chocolate Almond Butter Collagen Fat Bombs

I’m not much of a snacker. I like to eat 3 solid meals each day, and make them big enough so I don’t get hungry in between them. I don’t eat a ketogenic diet, but I do like to keep it lower in carbs and higher in fat and protein because that’s what makes me feel great. I used to have a blood sugar imbalance back in the days when I used to eat a super high sugar diet, so healing myself through quality fats and protein has made such a huge difference in my health.

While I try to avoid desserts and I don’t even crave them anymore ever since overhauling my diet, I do like a piece chocolate once in a while after a meal. My favorite go-to has been these Chocolate Almond Butter Collagen Fat Bombs that are sugar free but chock full of healthy fats and protein!

I recently discovered Perfect Supplements because they reached out to me and asked if I would like to try their products. After looking at how cleanly they source their supplements, and how much they care about the environment and the workers behind their ingredients (all their products are Fair Trade!), I had to say yes!

One of my favorite products I’ve tried so far is their Hydrolyzed Collagen from grass-fed pasture-raised cows. I’ve been putting it in my coffee every morning, hot or iced, and it dissolves easily into liquids so you can add them easily to recipes like these fat bombs. You can’t tast them and I love that I’m getting high-quality protein (literally, the only ingredient in it is Hydrolyzed Collagen!). My hair and nails have been growing like crazy ever since I started taking collagen.

Some other health benefits of collagen:

  • Improve Skin Health
  • Promote Younger, Firmer Skin
  • Support Joint Health
  • Improve Gut Function and Digestion
  • Keep Excess Inflammation in Check
  • Build and Restore Muscle
  • Support a Healthy Metabolism
  • Keep Appetite In Check
  • Promote Healthy Brain Function
  • Promote Deeper Sleep

I’ve definitely been seeing some great results from it, and anyone can benefit from addition of high-quality collagen so I highly recommend you check out Perfect Supplements‘ Hydrolyzed Collagen.

I love that I was able to amp up the nutrients in these fat bombs with the addition of collagen, and they turned out so rich, chocolate-y, and delicious. Because of their high fat and protein content, just one of these Chocolate Almond Butter Collagen Fat Bombs will kill your sugar cravings and keep you satiated until the next meal. I didn’t feel the need to add any sweeteners but you can add a bit of honey or maple syrup if you want!

I have tried to make coconut butter on my own, but after over 15 min. of pushing the buttons on my food processor, I gave up. Do you think extra coconut oil or vanilla-flavored ghee would be able to stand in for it? Thanks!

I think either of those would work. It’ll just be more sensitive to melting at room temperature. You can also buy coconut butter here!: https://whatgreatgrandmaate.com/coconutbutter

Is there nutritional info on this recipe? Also, I’ve used grass fed butter in place of the coconut butter and it’s amazing!

Yum, such a great idea to use grass fed butter! I just updated the nutrition info for you. 🙂

I just made these and they are delicious! I am so thankful to have something like this on hand, when otherwise I would just grab something carb and sugar laden when a chocolate craving hits. I didn’t have any collagen to hand, so I had to skip it, but I will be purchasing some to use in the next batch. Thanks for the recipe!

Can these be made without the collagen? I’m a vegetarian.

Can these be made without the coconut butter?

You can try omitting it and increasing the coconut oil and almond butter by 1/3 cup, and keeping the rest the same. It should work.

These were amazing!!! I followed the recipe exactly and couldn’t be happier to find a recipe that doesn’t blow my macros (too much fat, protein or carbs), but still feels like a total indulgence! Thank you!!!

So delicious! Added 15 drops of Stevia sweetleaf drops (English toffee flavor) with a handful of high-cacao chocolate chips and it is absolutely decadent. I realize that changes the macros but I’m not on keto, just love the keto recipes!!

Thank you for this recipe! I made these and they are so rich and tasty. I added just under 1 t of monk fruit and they were dessert like, next time a bit less monk fruit. So nice to find a fat bomb recipe that doesn’t have dairy.
