These simple, delicious, and easy brie-stuffed dates in the air fryer is the perfect appetizer for anytime of the year, but I love to serve them over the holidays! Packed with natural sweetness from Medjool dates and honey, as well as savory from creamy brie cheese and spices – I just love the balance of flavors in every scrumptious bite.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Natural Delights®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Why You’ll Love These Air Fryer Brie Stuffed Dates

I’m a huge fan of Medjool dates, and enjoy them often in various ways. They are delicious on their own, in desserts, or used in savory recipes like this Chinese chicken salad.

For these brie stuffed dates, I combined sweet and savory into perfect little bites – and they are truly the easiest appetizer or snack to make during the holiday season! Medjool dates are split open and stuffed with piece of brie cheese and walnuts, then topped with honey, sage, crushed red pepper flakes, and sage. Of course, you can easily adjust the ingredients to your taste or depending on what you have on hand.

Ingredient Notes

recipe ingredients in small bowls and labeled.
  • Natural Delights® Whole Medjool Dates: These are my favorite Medjool dates that are always high quality, picked at the peak of freshness, and just so delicious – they remind me of caramel. I always find them plump and flavorful, and wonderful to enjoy in various ways. I especially love their commitment to sustainability, and all their products are non-GMO, grown without pesticides or preservatives.
  • brie cheese: Any other creamy cheese like goat cheese or cream cheese will work well in thie recipe.
  • walnuts: I personally love walnuts, but you can substitute with pecans, pistachios, or any other nuts.
  • honey: I find that honey is great for bringing out the amazing flavor of the Medjool dates, but you can omit if you are looking to reduce sugar in your diet. The dates are plenty sweet on their own! If you like spicy, hot honey is also a great option.
  • flakey sea salt
  • sage: I love holiday dishes with sage. You can also use thyme or parsley.
  • crushed red pepper flakes: Red pepper flakes are completely optional. I do love them for a little kick to these brie stuffed dates.

Recipe Tips & Variations

  • When removing the pit, you can split the Medjool date lengthwise with a sharp knife, but I find that it’s easy to do with your hands.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer, try baking these in the oven! You can cook on a baking sheet at 375 degrees F for 7-8 minutes. Of course, they’ll still be delicious if you decide not to bake them.
  • These brie stuffed dates can customized to your liking:
    • Brie is delicious in this recipe, but any other creamy cheese will work! I’ve made it with cream cheese and goat cheese, and they are both wonderful.
    • Walnuts are my favorite nuts to use when making these, but any other nuts will work. Try pecans, pistachios, or even peanuts!
    • Herbs and spices give an extra flavor to this dish, but they are totally and can be modified to your taste. I love sage, but other wintry herbs like thyme, rosemary, and even parsley will work well.

Storage Tips

Store the leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container. You can enjoy cold or warm it up back in the air fryer for a few minutes!
