Recipe FAQs

Should sweet potatoes be soaked before air frying?

No. There is no need to soak the potatoes before placing them in the air fryer.

Why are my air-fried sweet potatoes soggy?

Be sure not to overcrowd your air fryer. Overcrowding can cause the potatoes to get soggy, rather than soft with crispy edges.

Do you need to pierce potatoes before air frying?

When I tested this recipe, I did pierce the sweet potatoes before putting them in the air fryer.

How long do sweet potatoes take in the air fryer?

Cooking a sweet potato in the air fryer takes about 35 minutes.

Can I cut my sweet potatoes into cubes?

You can! However, the cooking time will change a bit. I recommend cooking them for 15 minutes, flipping them, then another 10 minutes. Check them to make sure they are soft and cook for a few minutes more if needed.
